Mini
This is a painting of an original mini. I painted it as a 21st birthday present to my brother. I chose to keep it monochrome after experimenting using colour. I felt that by keeping it to black and white it was a more interesting piece of Art, especially for a twenty-one year old guy. It has a feel of pop art about it, because the detail is not realistic, for example the headlights; I just used the natural blending of the paint to create the circles of the light and the reflection on the metal surround.
Lilly
This is another oil painting on canvas. I love painting flowers and this is one of the first ones I did. It is of a lilly, close up with a striking blue background. I think the bold colours and intricate detail make a wonderful overall image.
flower print
This is a floral image I designed. I originally just started it as a doodle, but ended up with this design that I really love. I kept it black and white for a minimalistic look, with a dash of pink for a contrast. I used beads to at some intricate detail to the centre of the flower which makes it a lovely overall piece.
Albert
This is Albert. He is painted on a 40cm x 40cm canvas in oils. I like this painting because he seems like a really friendly duck! This is another example of the style I enjoy experimenting with, it is a photorealistic image, using bold, striking colours.
Pink Flower
This is a 30cm x 30cm canvas of a flower painted in oils. I like painting using bold and bright colours, and having a hyper-realism effect. I decided to sew beads into the centre of the flower for a bit of a twist to a regular oil painting. This canvas is on sale for £35 in ’Hearts and Flowers‘ on Otley Road, Harrogate.
It’s-a me! Mario!
I painted this for william, my brother. He is a bit of a nerd and loves computer games!
